Edward had his spring service and passed the MOT with flying colours. The local Ford garage reckoned the brakes were as good as a modern car, but they had problems on their garage lift because Edward's chasis is so high compared with moderns - they couldn't get their jack to go up far enough to get Edward's wheels off the ramp! All sorted the old fashioned way - using a trolley jack on the ground. "Wot, no catalyser, no exhaust analysis to be done, no hazard lights or seat belts to test? What shall we do with the other 45mins? Maybe we can test the two horns a few more times:)".
So, with a smart new tax disk (free since there is no road duty on "heritage vehicles") Edward is now ready to go for the wedding season.
